Most slow stores are slow for the same five reasons.
- Count database queries per page
- Serve images as WebP, sized for the screen
- Cache full pages for visitors who are not logged in
- Remove plugins nobody uses
- Put a CDN in front
Measure before and after every change — and write the numbers down for the client.
